September 24th, 2007 CONSUMER (GAMBLING INTEREST) NEWS RELEASE Phil Ivey wins record $807,400 pot Phil Ivey won a record $807,400 pot in season 2 of Million Dollar Cash Game; the biggest ever amount won in a single hand in a televised cash game, eclipsing a $575,700 pot between Daniel Negreanu and Gus Hansen in a rival US poker show. Ivey, who had already bought in for $800,000, was hundreds of thousands of dollars down when he clashed with Patrik Antonius. Both players hit monster hands on the flop; Phil Ivey a full house and Antonius a set of Aces. The series is scheduled to broadcast on Sky Sports in January 2008.
